Finals are always a special brand of fun. The 1Ls are in a state of total panic, the 2Ls and 3Ls are basically zombies and tensions are high. Even though I’m a typical law student in that I stress about school, I have a unique sense of humor during finals time and so I present to you, “10 things to do on a law school campus during finals.”
- If the 1Ls are being loud, start talking loudly about the highly secret exam bank that your friend buried in the law quad last year. Make a treasure map, put it in a random Am. Jur. and then talk LOUDLY on your cell phone about how you can’t find the map in the Am. Jurs.
- Have a picnic at the law school. I mean a full out picnic with a blanket, plastic wine glasses, china and the full spread. Bonus points if it’s snowing at your law school.
- Play sardines in the law library. ‘Nuff said.
- Bring your pet python, Slithers, up the the school. Make sure lots of people see him. Take him home. Then start wandering the school asking if anyone has seen Slithers.
- Talk about how you have found a way to go back in time and therefore you’ve studied twice as much as everyone else.
- Wear judicial robes to your exams. If you’re really dedicated, add a wig as well.
- Penny lock people into study cubicles. For a definition, go here.
- Go to a very visible table in the library. Get a really good coloring book from the dollar store. Bring out a big box of crayons, sharpen a few, then begin to color for at least an hour.
- Gather the most obscure books from the far corners of the library. Make sure the spines have large text. Scatter them on your table and be sure to open, close and rearrange them from time to time.
- Relax. Nothing freaks law students out more than a fellow law student who seems totally relaxed.

This is such an awesome list. I really want to do #8, but it would cut into my study time
Love it!
