Since it’s officially November and now Starbucks has broken out the red cups, I can begin to talk about Christmas. Now this is a VERY important post about what that special law student in your life might need sometime in late November/early December. We can call it a finals care package or an early holiday present. I’ve got some ideas for you!
1. COFFEE. We live on it. People who never drank coffee before now seem to thrive on it. I’d suggest a gift card to their favorite coffee shop or even the new (and overpriced but convenient) VIA from Starbucks for those 3am coffee needs. Another cute idea is a nice, reusable coffee mug to keep beverages toasty and warm. I suggest this one from REI, recycled, BPA free and cute!
2. FOOD. We live on this too. Now one thing to remember is that we’re not amateurs like undergrads who live on noodle soups and popcorn. I’m talking real food like gift cards to places where you can get a good take-out salad or sandwich. We’re getting old and fast food just doesn’t cut it.
3. OFFICE SUPPLIES. Now, I’m not sure if I can speak for everyone, but I’m a little picky when it comes to my office supplies. I will only use certain pens, I THRIVE on Post-It Durable Tabs and I like specific highlighters. If you know your student’s quirks, make them a highlighter bouquet. Sharpie even has “Mini fashion wrap” highlighters now.
If nothing else, offer them a job.
